Michał Jankowski won last year’s U.S. Kids qualifications and on 30.05 – 1.06 will represent our club and country in his 13-year age category. This is undoubtedly the success of our trainer Darek Bobiński, under which Michał develops his golf skills.
We trained 2-3 times a week for 2 hours, from October till now. As soon as the season began Michał came almost every day after school. A minimum of 5 rounds per week we played on a small Executive course. We focused mainly on preparing Michał for the Scottish conditions (wind, wind, wind). We did a lot of putting and we were mastering the short game. At this age, developing proper training habits is important because children / teenagers are constantly growing and the specifics of swing can change from day to day. That is why we focus on understanding the basics, ie correct posture, grip, setup and setting.

Today Michał and Darek are going to Scotland for the U.S. Kids European Championship 2017 final. We wish Michał success, we keep our fingers crossed, and we will share with you the impressions straight from East Lothian.
