First Warsaw Golf awarded Best Golf Course in Poland

FWGCC has been named the best golf course in Poland according to the country’s leading golf website Polishgolf.pl.

Earlier this year First Warsaw Golf was elected number 3 on the „TOP 5” golf courses in Eastern & Central Europe. First Warsaw Golf regularly maintains it’s position as one of  Europe’s top 100 courses by Golf World magazine (UK).

FWG featuring prominently in Poland’s national golf awards, is another landmark in this club’s history being the First golf club in Poland.

First Warsaw Golf received the top prize at the annual awards thanks to a remarkable show of support by the polish golf community  that resulted in over 60% of all votes cast going in favor of First Warsaw Golf in the first round and at the finale round receiving over twice as many votes from the second runner up..

Founder of Polishgolf.pl Mr. Roman Fedorczuk stated „There are several golf courses in Poland that are considered as one of the best in Europe (all depends how you look at it, and who is voting)  but this year Rajszew (AKA First Warsaw Golf) was chosen the best in Poland by far!  And that is a fact!”

Par 72, new signature 18-hole Island Green, some new t boxes making the course „fair”, exciting and longer, it is well kept and maintained.”

As well as picking up the award for  best course, First Warsaw Golf reached the „Top 4”  categories for Best Golf Restaurant and Best Club House.

To complete this great night Mr. Matthew Tipper the Head of „First Warsaw Matthew Tipper Golf Academy” was also voted as the „Best Pro in Poland.

Having recently opened a new signature 18-island green and the largest golf practice facility in the nation, the oldest course in Poland is setting  new standards said Mr.Matthew Tipper

“We’re very pleased to pick up the best course category at the Polishgolf.pl awards,” The golf course and facilities will continue to get better. „Our members already have the habbit of asking what’s new this month” stated Mr. Tavi , President of the club. The new Executive 9 hole course opening 2015 is another landmark among few to come.”

„To be the best course and to be recognised as the best course are often two different things. I am honored and humbled especially because Poland does have some absolutely fantasic courses, Rosa, Sierra, Modry Las, Amber Baltic and Toya are golf courses equally deserving sums up Mr. Tavi.
